Athletic Department Transitions
Principal Katie Stanley has announced the following leadership transitions in the athletic department: Sean Murphy joined JPII as director of athletics, head football coach, and health teacher in the summer of 2018. Since then, he has helped more than 30 Saints student-athletes with the recruitment process to continue their athletic careers on the collegiate level.

Will McMinn ’22 named NCWU Football Scholar-Athlete for 2nd straight year
For the 2nd straight year, Will McMinn ’22 has been named the scholar-athlete for the football team at North Carolina Wesleyan University. McMinn was a four-year varsity player who helped start the football program at JPII. His senior year he was named 1st team All-Conference and 1st team All-State.

8 school records fall in 2nd meet of the season
The track and field teams competed Thursday in a 10-school meet at Louisburg. The boys once again finished first, and the girls took third. A total of eight school records were broken. For the girls team, Rissa Moore won the discus (school record) and was fourth in shot put. Ari Atkinson and Aaliyah Hinnant tied
