Girls soccer hosted Pungo Christian to open the 2023 season and came away with a 6-0 win. Senior Katherine Stanley led the Saints by scoring a hat trick in the 1st half and adding a 4th goal five minutes into the 2nd half. Two of Stanley’s goals came from 35 yards out.
Sophomore newcomer Laci Bitterman scored the first goal of the year just under four minutes into the game. She added another with four minutes to go in the 1st half.
Senior Macy Johnson (1st half) and freshman Hannah Shoemaker (2nd half) combined for the shutout.
The Saints open conference play on Tuesday when they host Epiphany starting at 4:30 p.m.
