Lacrosse falls short to Havelock in season opener

Boys lacrosse was unable to contain the Rams of Havelock High School on Monday night, falling behind 8-1 at halftime and dropping the contest 11-3. The Saints came out in the 2nd half more focused, but the lead the Rams gained proved to be too much to handle.

What Happened

The Saints fell behind early, 4-0 before striking a goal of their own from freshman Brody Fox (assisted by junior Britt Gauquie) which was their only mark of the half.

The second half saw a much stricter defense by the Saints, allowing only 3 goals.

JPII netted two more goals, one from senior Justice Vail (assisted by junior Thomas Keeter) and another from Brody Fox (assisted by Thomas Keeter).

In goal for the Saints was Bryce Keel who ended the game with 48 minutes played and 6 saves.
