Lacrosse scores 12 in second home win

Lacrosse vs. ConleyThe Saints lacrosse team scored five goals in the first half against the club lacrosse team from DH Conley en route to program-high 12 goals and win.

The victory was also the Saints first time beating the DH Conley club lacrosse team, snapping a 3-game losing streak.

The Saints started the scoring on the night, tallying in the first three goals of the game. Conley scored a pair of their own to round out the first half; however, the Saints netted an additional two goals to take the lead 5-2.

The second half saw the Saints march away, scoring seven additional goals, while only allowing one goal. Teamwork was the key for the Saints; of the 12 goals scored, seven came by way of an assist.

  • Britt Gauquie led the Saints in points with an assist and seven goals, including his 50th in his career.
  • In goal for the Saints was Bryce Keel, who ended the game with 48 minutes played and nine saves (75%).
