Giordano to lead men's and women's soccer programs

John Paul II Catholic High School is excited to welcome Andy Giordano as our head coach for men's and women's soccer starting with the 2021-2022 school year. Giordano brings with him a wealth of experience and a track record of success working with female and male soccer players in Pitt County from U4 to U18. His coaching career began in the mid-1990s and he started with the Pitt-Greenville Soccer Association (PGSA) Stars in 1997. Currently, he coaches the U12 PGSA Stars Boys and the U16 PGSA Stars Boys National Team and is the assistant coach for the U18 PGSA Stars Girls and U16 PGSA Girls teams.

Giordano holds a National D license from the U.S. Soccer Federation and a Goalkeeping Level I diploma from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, an organization he has been a member of since 2001. For the past three years, he has been the PGSA Director of Coaching and has served on its Board of Directors on various committees since 2005. Giordano has also worked closely with the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association on various projects including oversight of the State Cup in Greenville and coordinated with the Greenville Parks and Recreation Department to train Future Stars soccer coaches.
