Friday night's game against GRACE Christian went back and forth all game long and featured a little bit of everything. In the end, the Saints ground game bested the Eagles 41-34 to take JPII to 2-1 on the season.
The Saints offense was led by juniors Brody Mitchell and Rion Roseborough who both had 2 rushing touchdowns. Freshman RB Justin Biggs added a 42yd TD run and sophomore Keiveon Moore scored from just outside the goal line to seal the win with less than a minute remaining. On defense, freshman Quinn McCaffrey intercepted the Eagles and had a fumble recovery.
JPII is home again next Friday at 7:00 p.m., hosting Cary Christian (3-1) who defeated Rocky Mount Academy 30-24 on Friday.
