Athletic Director Sean Murphy has announced Rachel Leitch as the new head volleyball coach at JPII. Leitch has been an assistant coach for two years at Pitt Community College and has coached the 18- and 16-year-old national teams for the past two years for Top Caliber Volleyball.
Volleyball became a passion of Leitch’s as early as the 4th grade. She’s played on travel teams for both the Coastal Plains Volleyball Club and East Carolina Junior Volleyball Club. In addition to travel volleyball, Leitch was a three-year varsity player at South Central High School where she primarily played the setter position and played collegiately at Pitt Community College.
